Join Teledyne e2v Semiconductor's LIVE webinars!

We are very pleased to invite you to our live webinar sessions (20 minutes) during IEEE Radar Conference 2020.
The sessions will take place on Zoom during the conference’s coffee breaks on the Wednesday 23rd and Thursday 24th of September 2020.
Please check out below the presentations’ abstracts and direct links to the sessions.

Synchronisation for ADCs used in Phased Arrays

Multi-element phased array radar systems are being developed with greater number of channels to achieve more flexibility, speed and precision. The ability to digitize each channel brings the advantages of digital beamforming to achieve multi-function and multi-capabilities (Communication, Radar, Electronic warfare, Signal intelligence, Situational awareness) with multiple beams simultaneously over a wide frequency range.

This webex describes a new C-band capable quad Analog to Digital Converter (ADC) EV12AQ600, which provides a daisy chain method of synchronizing multiple ADCs, an efficient serial interface and internal sample time delay adjustability. These features are essential for phased array systems.

Ka-band Direct Conversion ADCs and DACs

Direct conversion system advantages include increased flexibility, reduced complexity, weight and power consumption. Direct conversion to and from Ka-band frequencies is now possible with good performance.

This paper highlights advances in wide bandwidth data converters. Ka-band direct conversion results from the latest 25GHz bandwidth DAC, EV12DD700, and also a direct down conversion ADC module EV12PS640, with analog bandwidth of greater than 20GHz.

Applications in Radar, Radio Astronomy, Telecomms and Electronic Warfare will be discussed.
